NOTICE
Install a fuse before each drive controller. In case a short circuit occurs
in the drive controller, a fuse provides optimum safety against overheat‐
ing or fire (see also IEC 61800-5-1 and UL 508C).
For distribution in North America, single fuses are required for this type
of mains connection (see UL 508A).
In the scope of international and European standards (IEC/EN, not
North America), it is allowed to use a group fuse instead of the single
fuses. When selecting the nominal current of the group fuse, observe
the loop impedance, the line length and the line cross section of the
mains supply feeder (see IEC 60204-1, chapter Appendix A).
Observe the data for dimensioning line cross sections and fuses (see al‐
so IEC 60204-1, UL 508A and NFPA 79).
Group supply or central supply allows the HCS01 components to be operated
in parallel to increase the DC bus continuous power.
Parallel operation of HCS01 components is only allowed under
the following conditions:
The components are of the same HCS01 range
The infeeding HCS01 components are of the same type
Additional chokes balance the mains current
