OPTIONAL BOARD
The various optional boards, such as ANI board and VGS-1 can be used with the transceiver. Each function can be used
by installing an optional board in the transceiver and making necessary configurations.
20.1
ANI Board
The ANI board can be used with the transceiver.
Functions of the ANI board can be used by connecting the ANI board to the 26-pin connector in the transceiver and
configuring "ANI Board" for Optional Board using KPG-111D/ DN.
If ANI board is used, the transceiver can send the ANI code as the PTT ID when the transceiver transmits by a user
pressing the PTT switch or sending Emergency ANI while in Emergency Mode. (Refer to
Emergency ID on page
402.)
Note
• This function can be used only in an Analog Conventional system and LTR Trunking system.
• Refer to the CSI for instructions on how to install the ANI board.
• OPT1 must be configured using KPG-111D/ DN depending on the usage of the ANI board. (Refer to
Internal Connector (OPT1/ OPT11) on page
• The functions of the ANI board are dependent on configuration of the ANI board. Refer to the instruction manual supplied with the ANI

About PTT ID
A PTT ID is an unique identification code of the transceiver transmitted by pressing or releasing the PTT switch.
The caller's ID can be displayed on the main display using the received PTT ID while communicating with the caller. The user
can confirm the caller not only by voice, but also through the display. Also, the administrator or dispatcher can identify by a
PTT ID who is using a channel without asking by voice for the caller's name.
Note
• PTT ID can be used only in an Analog Conventional system and LTR Trunking system.
• Refer to each reference for the following functions relevant to PTT ID.
Muting the PTT ID Tone (PTT ID Mute) on page 307
Preventing the PTT ID from Sending Repeatedly (PTT ID Pause) on page 307
Restricting the Transmission of the PTT ID in Talk Around (Restricted ID in Talk Around) on page 308
PTT ID Type
PTT ID Type is the type of PTT ID to be sent.
To send the ANI code as the PTT ID, "ANI Board" must be configured for PTT ID Type by using KPG-111D/ DN.
