GPS ACK Request
GPS ACK Request is a function to place a request to send the acknowledgment with a mobile station transceiver when
GPS data in the NXDN or FleetSync format is sent from the base station transceiver to the mobile station transceiver.
Configuration
The base station transceiver requests the mobile station transceiver to send the acknowledgment message when a
request message to send GPS data in the NXDN or FleetSync format is sent by the base station transceiver. The
Enabled
mobile station transceiver sends an acknowledgment message and then GPS data upon receipt of a request
message to send GPS data in the NXDN or FleetSync format.
The base station transceiver does not request the mobile station transceiver to send an acknowledgment message
when a request message to send GPS data in the NXDN or FleetSync format is placed by the base station
transceiver. The mobile station transceiver sends the GPS data without sending an acknowledgment when the
Disabled
mobile station transceiver receives a request message to send GPS data in the NXDN or FleetSync format. Disable
the sending and receiving of receipt an acknowledgment message to shorten transmission times and reduce
transmission traffic.

GPS Position Display
Global Positioning System (GPS) is the system that allows a user to check the current location of latitude and longitude by
receiving signals from the Global Positioning System satellites orbiting the earth. GPS Position Display can be used to
show one's current position on the transceiver display.
For example, a forest ranger or forest firefighter can use this function to monitor the current location and report the location
to the base station in order to perform their tasks smoothly.
GPS Position Display has the following functions:
Displays the current location (latitude and longitude) on the main display of the transceiver.
Displays the altitude of the current location on the main display of the transceiver.
Automatically switches the main display between the current location (latitude and longitude) display and the
altitude display.
Displays on the sub-display the strength of signals sent from the GPS satellites.
For Portable, data must be configured using KPG-111D/ DN, and the configuration data must be written to the transceiver,
and then the GPS microphone (KMC-38GPS/ KMC-47GPS) must be connected to the transceiver so as to use GPS
Position Display.
For Mobile, an optional GPS unit must be connected to the transceiver to use GPS Position Display.
Note
This function is unavailable for NX-200S/ NX-300S.
