Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute
(feeder).

Open the ADF cover.

When the ADF is open, it might close
accidentally. Be careful not to get your fingers
caught.

Close the ADF cover.
Push the center of the ADF cover until it locks in place.

closing the ADF.
ATTENTION
Make sure that there is no foreign matter caught inside the ADF when
closing the ADF.
