Personal protective equipment and accessories for road safety
Seeing and being seen are crucial in road traffic.
The following requirements must be met for riding
a road-safe vehicle on public roads.

1 The helmet must have a reflective strip or a
light in a clearly visible color.
2 Cycle clothing is essential at all times of year.
Clothing should be retroreflective or as light as
possible. Fluorescent materials are also
suitable. High-visibility jackets and straps on
your upper body ensure even greater safety.
Never wear a skirt; wear ankle-length pants
instead.
3 The large red reflector with a "Z" registration
mark and the red rear light must be clean. The
rear light is attached high enough so that cars
can see it (minimum height 10 inches). The
rear light must work.
4 The two reflectors on the two non-slip
pedals must be clean.
5 The yellow spoke reflectors on both wheels
or the white, fluorescent surface on both
wheels must be clean.
6 The white front light must work and must be
positioned so that it does not blind other road
users. If the white reflector is not integrated
into the front light, it must be clean at all times.

7 The two separate brakes on the ebike must
work at all times.

must work.

Check list before each ride
Check everything is sufficiently
clean.
Check guards.
Check battery to ensure it is firmly
in place.
Check lights.
Check brake.
Check suspension seat post.
Check pannier rack.
Check bell.
Check hand grips.
Check rear shock.
Check frame.
Check wheel concentricity.
Check quick releases.
Check fenders.
Check USB cover.
Be alert to any unusual noises, vibrations or
odors while riding. Be alert to any unusual
operating sensations when braking, pedaling
or steering. This indicates material fatigue.
Take ebike out of service if there are any
deviations from the "Before each ride" check
list or any unusual behavior. Contact your
specialist dealer.
