The model number is HCTL06190. The serial number can be found on a decal attached to the treadmill (see the front cover of this manual for the location).
Front Wheels (77) are resting on the floor as shown. Make sure that all parts are tightened before you use the treadmill. Keep the included allen wrench in a secure place. The allen wrench is used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 16 and 17). To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill.
OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PERFORMANT LUBE WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE , a high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking plat- form. They will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
When the console is in the manual mode, the speed and incline of the treadmill can be changed with a touch of a button. As you exercise, the LED matrix and the four displays will provide continuous exercise feed- back.

C. Reading Rack—Allows you to enjoy your favorite magazine or read a book while you get in shape. D. INCLINE Buttons—These buttons control the incline of the treadmill. Each time a button is pressed, the incline will change by 0.5%. The incline range is 3% to 10%.

The dis- play will then show the actual speed of the walk- ing belt. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To vary the intensity of your exercise, change the incline of the treadmill by pressing the INCLINE buttons.

Step onto the foot rails and press the PAUSE/ STOP button. Next, change the incline of the treadmill to 3%. The incline must be at 3% when the treadmill is folded to the storage po- sition or the treadmill will be damaged.

THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that keeps track of the total number of hours that the treadmill has been operated and the total number of miles that the walking belt has moved. The information mode also al- lows you to switch the console from miles per hour to kilometers per hour.
1. Hold the handrails and place one foot on the base. 2. Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels. Carefully move the treadmill to the desired location. To re- duce the risk of injury, use extreme caution while moving the treadmill.

3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

If you weigh over 200 pounds, it may also be helpful to increase the incline of the treadmill. If the error code appears again, call our Customer Service Department. Do not operate the tread- mill until the problem is corrected.
If your goal is to burn fat, adjust the speed and incline of the treadmill until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone.
