    POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE ACCESSORY INPUTS Map - (Input 1 or 2) The PCV has the ability to hold 2 different base maps. You can switch on the fly between these two base maps when you hook up a switch to the MAP inputs. You can use any open/close type switch. The polarity USB CONNECTION of the wires is not important. When using the Autotune kit one position will hold a base map and the other position will let you activate the learning mode. When the switch is “CLOSED” Autotune will be activated. This feature is set to Input 1 by default. (Input 1 or 2) These inputs are for use with the Shifter- Dynojet quickshifter. Insert the wires from the CRANK Dynojet quickshifter into the SHIFTER inputs. The polarity of the wires is not important. This ANALOG feature is set to Input 2 by default.   • Page 3 FIG.A Remove seat. Remove the side covers (Fig. A). Remove the fuel tank. FIG.B Lay the PCV in the tail section of the quad temporarily. Route the PCV wiring harness from the rear of the quad to the throttle body going along the left hand side of the frame. Route the harness underneath the frame crossover (Fig. B).   • Page 4 PCV Connectors FIG.D Plug the PCV wiring harness in-line with the fuel injector and stock wiring harness (Fig. D). Stock Connector FIG.E Route the branch of the wiring harness with RED and GREEN colored wires to the right side of the quad, across the top of the rear shock, and under the rubber flap, where the ignition coil is located (Fig. E). FIG.F Unplug the RED/BLACK wire on the ignition coil. 10 Connect the pair of RED colored wires of the PCV harness in-line with the coil and the RED/BLACK wire. 11 Unplug the ORANGE wire on the ignition coil. 12 Connect the pair of GREEN colored wires of the PCV harness in-line with the coil and the ORANGE wire (Fig. F). 22-044 www.powercommander.com 2009-2013 Yamaha YFZ450 R/X PCV - 4...
  • Page 5 FIG.G 13 Route the set of 3 pin connectors, and the set of 2 pin connectors, of the PCV harness down the left side of the throttle body (Fig. G). FIG.H 14 Unplug the Throttle Position Sensor connector from the left hand side of the Unplug TPS throttle body (Fig. H). This connector is covered with a BLACK rubber boot.   • Page 6 FIG.J FIG. 16 Unplug the Crank Position Sensor connectors on the left side of the quad behind the frame rail (Fig J). These are the WHITE 2pin connectors. FIG.K 17 Connect the set of 2 pin connectors of the PCV in-line of the stock Crank Position Sensor connectors (Fig. K). FIG.L 18 Attach the ground wire of the PCV with the ring lug to the negative side of the battery (Fig. L). 19 Mount the PCV in the pocket of the rear fender on the left side using the Ground supplied velcro. Use the supplied alcohol swab to clean the surface before attaching the unit. 20 Mount the fuel tank back into place. 21 Make sure the wiring harness is routed in a manner that it is free from getting damaged by any hot or moving parts. 22-044 www.powercommander.com 2009-2013 Yamaha YFZ450 R/X PCV - 6...
