Save all parameter settings (data backup)

It is urgently recommended to backup all relevant data in a *.scs file when the
parameters for a drive have been set.
This data backup will be required to
D restore a precisely defined drive status (e.g. after a parameter loss or
hardware replacement
D document all parameters used for a drive.
The default directory provided for data backup can be generally changed in
the "Work directory" window of the "Program settings" dialog:

Make sure that no drive enable command has been given.

Select the menu sequence:
FILE " IDN BACKUP
Enter a new file name. The drive is switched to phase 4, then reads all pa-
rameters stored in the FEPROM and saves them in the previously specified
file. An exception are driver files and the data of the electronic rating plate.

When all drive data has been backed up, you may proceed to the parameter-
ization of the next drive:
1. Remove the connection cable from X99 and insert it to X99 of the next
inverter of the drive chain.
2. Initiate the "Init. module type" command at the DSS and start entering
parameters as described in section 4.2.

Copy all files to a removable data carrier. Store this data carrier in a
safe place.

In order to transfer the backup back to the drive, if necessary, load the
file into the DSS editor, click on the "Automatic" radio button and then
select "Set" (cf. section 4.6).
