IMPORTANT: Be sure to replace two oil filters (3) at the
same time.
4. Using a filter wrench, turn the oil filter cartridge
counterclockwise to remove it.
5. Clean the filter gasket seating surface.
6. Fill new axle oil in the new cartridge carefully without
spilling it. Apply thin film of clean oil on the gasket of
cartridge.
7. Turn filter cartridge (3) clockwise by hand until it makes
in contact with the gasket. Do not damage the gasket
when installing the filter cartridge.
8. Carefully tighten oil filter (3) for 3/4 turn by using a filter
wrench. Do not overtighten it.
9. Run the engine at slow idle speed for 5 minutes. Check
no oil is leaking from the filter.
10. Install cover (2) with bolts (1) (5 used).
11. Check the oil level. (Refer to the descriptions for "Check
Axle Oil Level" on page 13-13.)
