Replacing the Intrusion Detection Switch
Ê Connect all power supply cables to the system board (see table and D1859
sticker) and to the drives (see cabling in the appendix).
Ê Mount the air duct grid in the reverse order to removal. Ensure that the
locking tabs engage.
Ê Mount the cross-beam (see section "Removing/Mounting the Cross-beam"
on page 16) and the system fan (for a detailed description see the Options
Guide).
Ê Close the server (for a detailed description see the Options Guide) and
reconnect the power plug.

Replacing the Intrusion Detection Switch
The intrusion detection switch monitors the removing of the left side cover of the
housing.
The intrusion detection switch is located on the left upper cross-beam next the
cage for accessible drives.
Ê Remove the left side cover as described in section "General Purposes" on
page 13.
Ê Disconnect the intrusion detection cable from the connector INTR on the
system board (see D1859 sticker).
