The picture is whitish.
Something is wrong
with the picture.
The picture is light in

Red, blue, or green
spots appears.
Possible cause
If audio or subtitles in that language are not recorded on the disc, the audio or
subtitles do not switch to that language. (Some discs permit switching through a
menu screen. Refer to the guide provided with your disc.)
The disc is still unfi nalized.
Finalize the disc.
Refer to "Discs that can be played back"
(
page 107) for other cases.
For some discs, that operation may be prohibited.
CD and DVD have different sound recording levels.
Play DVD at a higher volume setting than CD.
Check the menu language setting.
Use a playable disc.
After inserting the disc, or after switching to DVD, the sound may break up for a
short time while the format is recognized.
A DVD with dts audio content was played.
This system is not compatible with dts. When playing, always play non-dts
sound. (If dts sound is selected, this system will output no audio.)
On some discs, audio automatically switches to dts when playback is stopped
and resumed from the beginning of the disc, so sound output will be lost or
the subtitle settings may be changed. If that happens, reset to the previous
settings manually.
Touch [Clear] 10 times to initialize the setting (returning to the state with no
code number setting).
Possible cause
The screen is not adjusted properly.
Readjust the screen.
This is a characteristic of liquid crystal panels and is not a problem.
