Appendix A: IO-Link Master Splitter Cables

There are two applications in which a splitter is required for use with the OMIOLM001 module:
Connection of splitter to IO-Link devices and power supply would require A-coded cables, refer to
datasheet for the available cables and ordering information.

Application #1: Injecting Additional/Auxiliary Input
(Reference Part # V1S-T-V1)
IO-Link master ports support the connection of standard Class A IO-Link devices and the option to
connect additional inputs to the same port. The status of the input is updated in the auxiliary memory
area of the PDI. Figure 109 shows the connection of the OMIOLM001 Class A port to the IO-Link
device and input device.
Figure 109: Standard IO-Link Signal with Additional Inputs
1. Connect the male end of the splitter (V1S-T-V1) to the IO-Link port on the OMIOLM001
2. Connect one of the female connectors to a Class A IO-Link device.
3. Connect the other female connector to the input device.
