In case the buzzer sounds and the outboard
cannot be shifted with remote control lever;
1.
Return the remote control lever to the neu-
tral position and retry the shifting.
If the outboard shifts, the cruising can be
continued.
2.

lever and emergency manual shift lever to
shift the outboard, run to the nearest port
immediately and consult your YAMAHA
dealer.
For operations of the emergency lever and
emergency manual shift lever, refer to
page 10B-22~23.
WARNING
Do not cruise if the emergency lever and
emergency manual shift lever have to be
used. The emergency means are designed
exclusively for running to a service avail-
able port immediately.
Normally the shift motor is able to shift
from neutral to forward or reverse with-
in 0.3 seconds from its actuation
moment.
If the shift operation is performed while
the engine is not running, the dog-
clutch may not engage the forward or
reverse gear perfectly, causing the
warning to occur at shifting.
NOTE:
The circuit for this control is built in the unit in
the switch panel.
In case either of the outboards will not shift into
forward or reverse within four seconds after
moving the remote control lever;
The buzzers of both of the outboards
should sound.
Engine speed cannot be increased though
the remote control lever is moved.
NOTE:
No visual warning is provided.
