Reassembly for Opposite Throttle Action
(Optional)
The 703 controls come properly assembled for
either "push-to-open" or "pull-to-open" throttle
types, depending on the model used. If a 703 con-
trol is to be used with a model with the opposite
throttle action, the control will need to be
reassembled to operate properly.
CAUTION:
When reinstalling parts, apply Yamaha
Marine Grease to moving parts and contact
surfaces.
1. Pinch the wire cover with your fingers and
pull it off.
2. Remove the screws as shown, and then
remove both upper and lower back panels.
3. Remove the two screws holding the neutral
throttle lever, and remove the throttle drum.
Rotate the drum 180 degrees and reinstall it
using the same two screws.
