    5 Operation 5.1 Assemble transfer stack Assemble transfer stack Introduction A single or multiple gels can be transferred at the same time. Place multiple small gels of the same thickness side by side, or stack two gels vertically in a carefully constructed multi-layered stack.

Buffer depletion leads to changes in pH and overheating, both of which are detrimental to the transfer. PWR LARGE SEMIPHOR TRANSPHOR UNIT and PWR SEMIPHOR TRANSPHOR UNIT monitor the transfer stack resistance.
