7.17.1 Earthing the extendable switchgear

Left end panel
▪ Screw 6 bolt-and washer assemblies M8x20 into the
side wall (tightening torque: 30 Nm).
▪ Insert a sealing stopper into the side wall.
▪ NOTE: For circuit-breaker panel type L1.1, mount the
bolt-and-washer assembly and the sealing stopper
inversely at position

Extendable switchgear assemblies are earthed via one of the earthing points at the earthing
busbar.

1. Connect the earthing point
2. Connect each panel block or panel group of max. 4 panels once with the substation earth.
3. In panel groups comprising more than 4 panels, connect every fifth panel with the
substation earth.
4. Bolt together all units of the earthing busbar in the complete switchgear assembly
[▶ Page 86, "Interconnecting the earthing busbars"].

▪ Insert 7 sealing stoppers into the side wall.
