7.9 Checking service readiness

The switchgear vessels are filled with insulating gas and are under pressure. Before starting
installation, the gas filling of the panels must be checked by means of the ready-for-service
indicator.
1. Read the ready-for-service indicator ( [▶ Page 135, "Ready-for-service indicator"]).
✓ If the pointer of the ready-for service indicator is in the green area, the gas density is in
order.
If the pointer of the ready-for-service indicator is in the red area:
2. Check the signaling switch of the ready-for-service indicator.
Checking the signaling switch
During transport, the signaling switch of the ready-for-service indicator can latch tight in the red
area due to vibrations.
1. Remove the front cover, [▶ Page 127, "Removing and mounting the front cover"] observe
the instructions specified there.
2. Push the roller lever of the signaling switch carefully towards the switch.
✓ The sector disk must return automatically until the pointer of the ready-for-service indicator
is in the green area again. If not, please stop the installation and contact the Siemens
Siemens Service Hotline.
