3.5.1 Cleaning Flow Cell

After measurement, clean the flow cell in accordance with the
following procedure.
(1) Set pure water on the sipping nozzle then press the WASH key
for 10 seconds to discharge the sample.
(2) Press the WASH key for 10 seconds to sip the rinsing liquid
(P/N: 775-1376) or neutral detergent.
(3) Repeat the operation (1) for 10 times to wash and then fill the
flow cell with rinsing liquid or neutral detergent.
(4) Close the pinchcock on the drain tube.
(5) Open the cover of the Auto Sipper and make sure that the
pinchcock on the drain tube is closed. Then release the setting
of the peristaltic tube. Refer to Section "2.2.4 Releasing
Peristaltic Tube" of this manual for releasing procedure.
NOTE: Be sure to close the pinchcock before releasing the
peristaltic tube setting. Otherwise, the rinsing liquid flows
out of the flow cell.
(6) Close the cover of the Auto Sipper.
(7) Turn off the power of the spectrophotometer main unit.
NOTICE: Do not make the inside of the flow cell be dry. If dried,
dirt or stain will adhere to the inside of the flow cell and
there is a possibility that lowering in the reproducibility
of measurements or increasing in noise may occur.
NOTE: Pay attention to the following when using for the first time
after the cleaning.
1. Be sure to open the pinchcock after setting peristaltic
tube. Rotating the peristaltic pump with the pinchcock
closed may cause liquid leakage.
2. Wash away the rinsing liquid remaining in the flow cell
with pure water.
