10. Shaft unit

(1) Disassembly

• Loosen the Bolt M5 x 12 [182] and Bolt M5 x 30 [187], and then detach Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180]

from the Main Pipe [229].

• Pull out the Drive Shaft [230] from Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180] side of the Main Pipe [229].

(2) Reassembly

• Mounting the drive shaft

Wipe off dirty grease from the Drive Shaft [230] and apply a thin coat of "Molub-Alloy 777-1" grease to

the shaft. Then insert the drive shaft into Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180] side of the Main Pipe [229].

• Mounting the gear case

Fully insert the Main Pipe [229] into the main pipe insertion hole on Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180] until it

contacts the end. Align the hole on the side of the Main Pipe [229] with the M5 screw hole on the side

of Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180]. Firmly tighten the Bolt M5 x 12 [182] while confirming that it does not

touch the Main Pipe [229]. Tighten the Bolt M5 x 30 [187]. Finally, make sure the Drive Shaft [230] is

completely put in the pinion. When the drive shaft is completely put in the pinion, the gear shaft D24 of

Gear Case Ass'y (S) [180] rotates when rotating the Drive Shaft [230] projected from the side edge of

the engine of the Main Pipe [229].
