6.4 Address setting
Assign the ID 200/C-PDP an address between 0 (00h) and 125 (7Dh), which is not
occupied by another bus user. The device address is set in the hexadecimal system.
There are three options for setting the device address:
• with the rotary switches (recommended)
• via PROFIBUS (recommended)
• via the web interface (see section 8.2.3 "Send Command Page in ID 200/C-PDP
website" )
The rotary switch for setting the device address is located on the bottom of the
ID 200/C-PDP. Once the ID 200/C-PDP has been mounted, these rotary switches
are no longer freely accessible.
Set these rotary switches before mounting the ID 200/C-PDP.
• To set the device address via PROFIBUS or via the web interface, set the rotary
switch to the position "7Eh"..."FEh" or "FFh". The address "7Eh"..."FEh" may only
be used for commissioning.
• The device address can only be set via PROFIBUS if the device is the only user on
the bus with the address 126. Otherwise, the address must be set with the rotary
switches before connecting the device to the bus.
• After switch-on, the ID 200/C-PDP sets itself to the transmission speed specified
by the master. Select the maximum permissible line length for this transmission
speed (see section 5.4.7 "Transmission rates and cable lengths" ).

Set the device address via rotary switches
There are two rotary switches on the bottom of the device for setting the device
address.

Set the selected address ("00h" ... "7Dh") using the rotary switches.
For the device address to be adopted by PROFIBUS, switch the device off and on

the web server.
