Changing the memory card

The memory cards are protected by a safety catch.
Do not plug or pull a memory card in a hazardous area
If you plug or pull a memory card during operation, you run the risk of a flashover. A
flashover can cause an explosion in a hazardous area, resulting in death or severe injuries.
Plugging or pulling of a memory card in a hazardous area is prohibited.
Do not plug or pull a memory card until one of the two following requirements is met: The
area is no longer hazardous or the device and its plug-in connections are de-energized.
Note
Potential loss of data
If the HMI device accesses its data when the memory card is removed, the data on the
memory card cannot be fully read, written or it may even be destroyed.
If your process requires you to change the memory card during operation, you need to take
this into account by employing suitable mechanisms in the configuration.
Do not remove the memory card during operation while data is being accessed. Observe the
corresponding alarms on the screen.
Do not remove the system memory card for "automatic backup" during operation
If the "Automatic backup (Page 108)" function is activated, the system memory card may
only be removed when the HMI device is switched off.
Removing the system memory card while the project is running
If you remove the system storage card while a project is running, the project is ended.
Requirement
There are currently no read or write accesses to the memory card.
