    Basic Operations Playing a CD PUSH OPEN/CLOSE PUSH OPEN/CLOSE 1, 2 Connect the supplied AC power cord (see page 24). Press ZPUSH OPEN/CLOSE down to open the CD compartment and place the CD on the CD compartment. Close the lid of the CD compartment. Press u (N on the remote).

    Playing a tape Connect the supplied AC power cord (see page 24). Press xZ to open the tape compartment and insert a recorded tape. Use TYPE I (normal) tape only. Close the compartment. Press n. The player turns on (direct power-on) and starts playing.

    Playing tracks in random order You can play tracks in random order. Press x. “Cd” appears in the display. Press MODE until “SHUF” appears in the display. Press u to start shuffle play. To cancel Shuffle Play Press MODE until “SHUF” disappears from the display.
