Step A: Removing the shipping bracket.
It is recommended that before you connect the scanner to your computer that you inspect the
scanner and remove the shipping bracket first. The SP3091\3092DC's do not have shipping
locks.
Removing the shipping bracket: Your ScanPartner comes with a factory installed
shipping bracket designed to protect the scanner during shipment. Before the scanner
can be used, the shipping bracket must be removed. Follow these instructions to remove
the shipping bracket:
1. Tilt the scanner on its side as shown in figure 2-1
2. Unscrew the retainer screw and remove the shipping bracket.
3. Place the shipping bracket in the "use position" slot and secure it with the retainer
screw (see figure 2-2)
4. Place scanner back in its normal position

- Page 2 SCSI host adapter. Setting Termination: The Fujitsu ScanPartner comes complete with a built in SCSI terminator (see Fig 2-3). If the Scanner is the last device in the SCSI chain, the terminator should be switched to ‘On’.
- Page 3 ScanPartner15C\600C\620C\93GX\3091DC\3092DC Win95\98\ME Installation Procedure Connecting SCSI cable: Included with the ScanPartner is a SCSI cable used to connect the scanner to the host adapter. Located on the back of the scanner are 2 SCSI ports, one 50-pin centronics and one DB25-pin. The SP93GX has two 50-pin centronics ports. Use the cable provided to connect to the 50-pin centronics port and the DB25-pin port on the SCSI controller.

Click on Save and then use the browse (or other folder navigation) button until you have the ISIS Download folder you created in the Save In Box. 9. Click Save. 10. When completed close the Download Complete window and go to the ISIS Download folder.
- Page 5 2. After the Untitled Screen has open, click on Scan and choose Select Source. 3. Select the Fujitsu Twain source for your scanner by Highlighting it and clicking OK. You will only need to do this once unless you are scanning with multiple sources.
