HP Series 6000
If either of the following fault conditions is detected, the
CD-ROM busy light will stay ON after the self-test has
completed:
The disk detecting function is disabled by a defective
CD-ROM disk.
A disk insertion error is detected.
After the mass storage system power has been switched on
and the self-test has completed, the CD-ROM busy light
will flash at half second intervals during CD-ROM drive
activity with the host computer, or if the TEST switch is
set to
1
for continuous audio mode (refer to "Setting the
TEST Switch" in this chapter). If the CD-ROM busy light
is off, the CD-ROM drive is idle.
Table 4-1 shows the status of the CD-ROM busy light
during normal operation and fault conditions:
If a fault condition is indicated by the CD-ROM busy light,
contact your local Hewlett-Packard Sales and Support
Office.
