TV Tuner or WLAN Module
The procedure to remove and replace the TV tuner module and the WLAN module are similar. The
image in this section illustrates a TV tuner module. Use the same basic procedure the remove a
WLAN module.
Description
HP TV Tuner Kit (includes hardware)
802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly
2.
Remove the computer access panel
3.
Remove the optical drive
4.
Remove the hard drive
5.
Remove the optical drive rail
6.
Remove the heat sink
7.
Disconnect the antenna cable from the connector on the module (1).
8.
Remove the two screws (2) that secure the module to the system board.

Lift the module to a 45 degree angle, and then remove the module from the connector by pulling
it away at an angle.
To install the TV tuner module or WLAN module, reverse the removal procedure. Make sure the
antenna cable is correctly routed.
