Selecting Only Back USB Ports Ports On disables the front USB ports and selecting All Ports Off disables both front and back USB ports. By default, the User Accessible USB Ports option is set to All Ports On.

  • Page 18 System Security Screen Menu Item Description Intel(R) AES-NI The Intel(R) AES-NI option improves the speed of applications by performing encryption and decryption using the Advanced Encryption Standard Instruction Set and is set to Enabled by default. System Password Allows you to set the system password. This option is read-only if the password jumper is not installed in the system.

Embedded System Management The Dell Lifecycle Controller provides advanced embedded systems management throughout the server’s lifecycle. The Lifecycle Controller can be started during the boot sequence and can function independently of the operating system.

    NOTE: For proper seating of the cooling shroud in the chassis, ensure that the cables inside the system are routed through the cable routing latch. Position the cooling shroud by aligning the cooling-shroud guide slots with the cooling-shroud guide screws on the system board. Lower the cooling shroud into the chassis until all edges are secured to the system board.

    Reboot the system and, if your keyboard is functioning, enter the System Setup. Verify that all USB ports are enabled on the Integrated Devices screen, in the System Setup options. If your keyboard is not functioning, you can also use remote access. If the system is not accessible, reset the NVRAM_CLR jumper inside your system and restore the BIOS to the default settings.

    Using System Diagnostics If you experience a problem with your system, run the system diagnostics before contacting Dell for technical assistance. The purpose of running system diagnostics is to test your system hardware without requiring additional equipment or risking data loss. If you are unable to fix the problem yourself, service and support personnel can use the diagnostics results to help you solve the problem.

    System Messages System Error Messages System error messages appear on the monitor to notify you of a possible problem with the system. These messages refer to events recorded in the System Event Log (SEL). For information on the SEL and configuring system management settings, see the systems management software documentation.
