    CHAPTER 2 Preparing for Main Unit Installation 2.5 Checking the Installation Site 2.4.2 Facility power requirements and characteristics To obtain the required degree of redundancy, the facility must have two independent supplies of power. Connect the circuit breakers to the power receiver provided by the electric power company or to a UPS (uninterruptible power supply). If the main unit operates in an environment that experiences frequent power failures or has a power source that often becomes unstable, the component failure rate tends to rise.
