Care and cleaning of the range,

Be sure aft controls are off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range.
If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip
device is reengaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this
precaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury.
How to Remove Protective Shipping Film and Packaging Tape
Caretully
grasp a corner
ol the protecti\'e
shipping
film with your finge_
and slowly
peel it fl'om the appliance
stmfi_ce. Do
not use any shaq) items to remove
the
film. Remove
all ot the fihn betore
using
the appliance
tot the fi_st time.
To assure no damage
is done to the
finish ot the product,
the satest way to
remove
the adhesive
fl'oin packaging
tape
on new appliances
is an application
of a
household
liquid dishwashing
detergent.
Apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.
NOTE."Theadhesive must be removed from all
parts, it cannot be removed if it is baked on.
Control Knobs
Thecontrol knobsmay be removed for easier
cleaning.
Make sure the knobs are in the
OFF
positions
and pull them straight
off the
stems for cleaning.
The knobs can be cleaned
in a
dishwasher
or they may also be washed
with soap and wam_: Make sm'e the insides

replacing.
Replace
the knobs in the OFF position
to
enstli'e
pi'oper
placelllent.

Burner Assembly
The burner
assemblies
should
be washed
regularly

Turnall controls off before removing burner parts.

heads and

The electrode
ot the spark igniter is

beyond

the cooktop,
be careflfl not to snag the electrode

the spark igniter
with yore" cleaning
cloth. Damage
to the igniter
could occm:
Toavoid snagging a cloth on the spark
igniter, leave the burner heads in place
when cleaning the cooktop.
Be careflfl not to push in any cooktop
controls
while cleaning
the cooktop.
A slight electrical
shock might result

over
hot cookware.
Wash burner
parts with an alli)ml)ose
non-abi_lsive
cleaner
and W_lliil watei:
Soak stubborn
soil. Dry them with a
cloth---
not reassemble
while wet.
To reassemble,
replace
the
burner
head
fi_t,
then
the burner
cap and
finally
the
burner
grate.
Be sure
the
pins
in the
burner
head
are properly
located
in the
btlFner
base
holes.
