    WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/r/k/mc/ax* radio, Bluetooth wireless radio technology that includes Bluetooth Low Energy support, and integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. The CT30 XP series also includes front and rear facing color cameras, a dedicated push-to-talk (PTT) button for common applications that support PTT, and a USB Type C connector for both charging and communication use.

    Swap Battery Mode Swap Battery mode places the computer in a lower power state so that the battery can be removed for a short time. To activate Swap Battery mode: 1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears. 2.

    • Set up the Wi-Fi network connections. • Set the time, date, and time zone. • Personalize (name) the computer. • Set up security and privacy options. Once you complete the initial setup, the Welcome screen no longer appears when you power on the computer and Provisioning mode is automatically turned Off (disabled).

    Enable Vibrate Mode Simultaneously press the Volume up (+) and Power button to quickly enable Vibrate mode so the computer vibrates instead of emitting sound for notifications and rings. If you need quiet time without interruptions, enable Do Not Disturb to mute sound, stop vibration, and block notifications.

    Insert a microSD Card You can use a microSD card to increase file storage capacity or to install software. Honeywell recommends the use of Single Level Cell (SLC) industrial grade microSD or microSDHC memory cards with the computer for maximum performance and durability.

    Smart OCR Honeywell mobile computers with supported image engines can use Smart OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to scan text using the imager on the computer. Enable Smart OCR To perform OCR operations, the OCR wedge must be enabled. When the OCR wedge is disabled, the mobile computer will only perform barcode scanning.

    CHAPTER USE THE PHONE You can use the phone feature to make and receive phone calls as well as transmit data through wireless wide-area networks (WWANs). Note: Phone features are only supported on CT30 XP WWAN models (CT30P-L1N). About the Phone Phone features on the computer include one speaker and three microphones for noise cancellation.
  • Page 64 Both SIMs can be provisioned with either the same or different mobile carriers. To enable both SIM profiles at the same time, Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) mode must be activated. In this mode, both SIMs can connect to the selected mobile network.

    Mobile computers are enrolled by scanning a QR code. Contact your mobile carrier to obtain the QR code and any other information required to activate the profile. Select the eSIM In the SIM Selection app, the nano-SIM card (SIM 1) is selected by default. To use the embedded SIM without being in Dual SIM Dual Standby mode, you must select SIM 2 as the active SIM.

    Answer the Phone When you receive a phone call, the Incoming Call screen opens. If the caller’s telephone number is available, it appears on the screen. Depending on your calling plan, you may also see a Caller ID information. All incoming calls are recorded in the Call log.

About the Color Camera The CT30 XP comes equipped with two cameras, a 13-megapixel color camera on the back of the computer and an 8-megapixel camera located on the front. Both include 4K video support with image stabilization and advanced software features for enhanced exposure control when taking pictures and videos.
