Jam Detection

Outline

The finisher is equipped with the following paper detection sensor to check whether paper is present and whether the stapler is
operating normally.
Further, it is equipped with the following switch to detect the open or closed state of the front cover.
• Delivery Sensor (PS1)
• Front Cover Switch (MSW1)

PS1
The delivery sensor (PS1) does not detect paper even when the specified
time has elapsed after receiving a paper reception notification signal from
the host machine.
The delivery sensor does not turn off even when the specified time has
elapsed after the delivery sensor (PS1) detects paper.

The next paper reception notification signal is detected earlier than the
specified time after the previous paper reception notification signal is re-
ceived from the host machine.
PS1
The delivery sensor (PS1) detects paper during power-on or after recov-
ering from sleep mode.
MSW1
The front cover switch (MSW1) detects that the front cover has been
opened during operation.

The staple HP sensor cannot detect the stapler even after the specified
time has elapsed since the stapler passed through the staple HP sensor
when stapling is executed.
PS1
The delivery sensor (PS1) detects paper during warm-up rotation.

Clinch motor drive detection sensor error:
The clinch motor drive detection sensor (PS13) cannot detect clock pulses
even after the clinch motor (M9) is driven for a given time.
Clinch HP sensor error:
The clinch HP sensor (PS15) does not turn on even after the clinch motor
(M9) is driven for 0.25 seconds.
Clinch motor error:
The clinch motor drive detection sensor (PS13) cannot detect clock pulses
even after the clinch motor (M9) is driven for 0.24 to 0.25 seconds. And,
the clinch HP sensor (PS15) does not turn on even after the clinch motor
(M9) is driven for 0.25 seconds.
Staple operation timeout error:
The clinch unit rotation sensor (PS13) cannot detect the reduction in rev-
olution within 2 seconds of starting the clinch motor (M9) operation.
