Muting Idle Channels
Muting idle channels causes audio from channels that do not have "call" activity to be
muted. This is useful for a system that has many channels, since quiescent line noise
will accumulate on the unselected speaker audio.

When the Mic Delay Eliminator is enabled, the transmitter is held on for

If modems are not installed, the Mic Delay Eliminator must be disabled. When
modems are installed, select

D. ANI Decode / Display
ANI (automatic number identification) is normally used for identification of mobile radios.
ANI uses DTMF and other formatted signaling tones that are automatically or manually sent
when the radio is keyed. One use for ANI is a one-button press on the radio to call for help.
On systems equipped with the ANI option (Part No. 702-9449), the ANI Decode/Display
function will allow the ANI mode and the ANI address to be set for each position.
