For product details, refer to the PACSystems RX3i CEP PROFINET Scanner User Manual, GFK 2883. This chapter provides an overview of the PACSystems RX3i PROFINET Scanner (PNS) module and its operation.

Revision Axxx: • First the green LEDs are turned on in the following circular order: OK, LAN, STATUS, CONN, PORT 4, PORT 3, PORT 2, PORT 1.

    User Manual Section 2 GFK-2737L Jul 2022 SD Card Slot The SD Card Slot, located on the front of the PROFINET Scanner, can be used to transfer the Device Name from a different PROFINET Scanner without the need for a configuration tool such as PAC Machine Edition to commission the new hardware.

Pre-Installation Check Upon receiving your RX3i equipment, carefully inspect all shipping containers for damage. If any part of the system is damaged, notify the carrier immediately. The damaged shipping container should be saved as evidence for inspection by the carrier.

    The PNS can be installed in slot 1 or slot 2 of a 7-, 12-, or 16-slot RX3i Universal Backplane (IC695CHS007, CHS012 or CHS016), or in slot 6 of a 7-slot RX3i Universal Backplane. Note: • If the replacement PNS module has no assigned Device Name (the CONNECT LED is blinking Amber slowly), the network cabling can be plugged back in and the name assigned over the PROFINET network.

When adding a two-slot power supply to an RX3i Scanner configuration, it should be configured in the left-most slot occupied by the module, and nothing configured for the other slot. For example, when installing an IC695PSA140 power supply in slots 0 and 1 in the backplane, it is configured in slot 0 and nothing is configured in slot 1.
