    Drive handling CAUTION: Drives are fragile components that must be handled with care. To prevent damage to the computer, damage to a drive, or loss of information, observe these precautions: Before removing or inserting a hard drive, shut down the computer. Wrist straps are flexible straps with a minimum of one megohm ±10% resistance in the ground cords. To provide proper ground, wear a strap snugly against the skin at all times.

There are as many as 54 screws that must be removed, replaced, and/or loosened when servicing Authorized Service Provider only parts.

  • Page 49 The panel is secured to the display enclosure with long strips of tape. Use a tweezer to grasp the tape just above each hinge (1). Pull the tape out from behind the panel (2). NOTE: You have to pull on the tape multiple times before it is completely removed. Display adhesive is available using spare part number L28524-001.

If it is necessary to replace the display hinges: Remove the two Phillips M2.0×2.5 screws (1) from the top of the hinges.

If it is necessary to replace the display panel cable: Disconnect the cable from the camera module (1). NOTE: Cables connect to both sides of IR cameras.   • Page 53 Models with an IR camera If it is necessary to replace the wireless antenna cables and transceivers: Detach the wireless antenna transceivers (1) from the display enclosure. (The wireless antenna transceivers are attached to the enclosure with double-sided adhesive.) Release the wireless antenna cables from the retention clips and routing channels built into the sides of the display enclosure (2).
