To reduce risk of injury, charge HITACHI rechargeable battery type EB7, EB9, EB12, EB14, EB18 series, BCL1430, EBL1430, EBM1430 and EBM1830. Other type of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.

Accidents or injuries could result from not doing so. Make sure to firmly install the socket in the anvil. If the socket is not firmly installed it might come out and cause injuries.

Tightening and loosening screws Install the bit that matches the screw, line up the bit in the grooves of the head of the screw, then tighten it. Push the impact driver just enough to keep the bit fitting the head of the screw.
