LED may illuminate, but charging will not take place. Handles of other Sonicare models do not fit in this charger and will therefore not charge effectively. 2 minutes recommended by dental professionals.After these 2 minutes, your Sonicare will automatically turn off. HANDLE CONTAINS NICKEL CADMIUM BATTERY. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. The battery inside your Sonicare cannot be replaced, but is easily removed for recycling.
