Power button board

Description
Power button board (includes cable)
For use only with HP Pavilion 17 Notebook computer models
For use only with HP Pavilion 17 TouchSmart Notebook computer models
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Top cover (see
Remove the power button board:
1.
Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the top cover.
3.
Release the clips (2) that secure the power button board to the top cover.
4.
Remove the power button board (3) and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the power button board.
