In addition to controlling all thefunctionsonyourHITACHI

Color TV, the Genius Remote control is designed to

operatedifferenttypes of VCR's (AlsoAbbreviatedVTR)

anddifferenttypesofCATV converters (cableboxes)with

one touch. Basicoperatingbuttonsare groupedtogether

in one area. All othercontrols are separated from them

and arrangedin MULTI-PAGE sections, w ithadisplaythat

canbe switchedtocover any ofthe threepages. Function

are arranged and properly categorized into windows.

Makingoperation simpleevenwhenmultiplefunctions are

to be controlled.

NOTE: Precoded buttons(@ below) willcontrol HITACHI TV _nly when the MULTI-PAGE SELECT SWITCH

To operate your TV, point the Genius remote at the remote sensor of the TV.

To operate you VCR, point the remote at the remote sensor of the VCR.

To operate your cable box, point the remote at the remote sensor of the cable box.

MULTI-PAGE SELECT SWITCH

TV EXCLUSIVE BUTTONS

These will always controlthe TV even when the

Multi-Pageselect switch is in the VCR or MENU/

CATV position.

PRECODED BUTTONS

These buttons will controla VCR or a cable box

when the Multi-Pageselectswitch is in the VCR of

MENU/CAW position.

LIGHT BUTTON

Whenyou are in a dark room,pressthis button on to

light up the Channel Keys, Volume, Up and Down

Keys. The lightwillstay on for about8 secondsifno

buttonis pressed. The buttonswill not appear to

lightif the roomis too bright.
