About this document
Use these instructions to install a cooling fan into an hp
ProLiant ML530 or ML570 server with SDLT or Ultrium tape
drives. Refer to your server documentation for complete
instructions to install a tape drive.
Note:
With the exception of a 90° rotation, installation in a tower
server is similar to that of a rack version shown in these instructions.
Step 1: Power down the server
Step 2: Remove the top/side panel

Before the installing fan, be sure all PCI adapters have been
installed in the server
Step 3: Remove the tape drive or blanks
