    2 OPERATION 2.1 Powering Up the Instrument When power is first applied to the instrument, its processor carries out a number of self-tests and displays the start up screen. At the end of the start up sequence the instrument displays the Operator View that was being displayed when the instrument was powered down.

Current Values The Current Value, shown on the digital indicators at the top of the screen, is the latest instantaneous value and its update rate is not affected by the recording sample rate. If the current value in the digital indicator is displayed in red, recording has been stopped for that channel – see Section 4.5.1, Setting the Recording Parameters.
