HiH has realized high resolution and high picture quality when compared to the standard El format.
The camera/recorder discriminates the type of the video cassette to be recorded automatically, if
it detects a HiOl video cassette, it records in the Hi[D format, and if it detects an 0 cassette, it
records in the 0 format. Select the type of the cassette to be used before recording.
■ Compatibility with conventional video camera/recorder
• During playback, the recording format is discriminated automatically and video cassettes are played
back correctly.
• Video cassettes recorded in the Hi0 format cannot be played back by an 0 VCR.
