SECTION
VI
REPLACEABLE PARTS
6-1.
INTRODUCTION
This
section contains
information for
ordering
parts.
Table
6-2
lists abbreviations used
in
the parts
list and throughout the manual. Table
6-3
lists all
replaceable parts
in
reference designator
order.
Table
6-4
contains the names and addresses
that
correspond
to
the manufacturer's
code
numbers.
6-2.
EXCHANGE ASSEMBLIES
Table
6-1
lists assemblies
that may
be
replaced on
an exchange
basis,
thus affording
a
considerable
cost
saving. Exchange, factory-repaired, and
tested
assemblies are
available only
on
a
trade-in
basis;
therefore,
the defective assembly must
be returned
for
credit.
For this reason, assemblies
required for
spare parts stock must
be
ordered by the new part
assembly number.
6-3. ABBREVIATIONS
Table
6-2 lists
abbreviations
used
in the
parts
list,
schematics,
and
throughout the manual.
In
some
cases,
two forms of the abbreviation are
used, one
all in
capitals letters,
and
one
partial
or no capitals.
This
occurs because
the abbreviations
in
the parts
list are always all capitals. However, in
the
sche¬
matics and
other parts of the
manual,
other abbrevi¬
ation
forms are used
with
both lower
case
and upper
case letters.
b.
Part number
check digit (CD).
c.
The total quantity (Qty)
used
in the major
assembly
(Al,
A2
or A3).
d.
The
description
of
the part.
e.
A
typical manufacturer of the part in
a
five-
digit
code.
f.
The manufacturer's number
for the part.
The total quantity
for each
part
is
given only
once
at the first appearance of
the part number
in
the
list for each
major
assembly.
NOTE
Total quantities
for optional assemblies
are totaled
by
assembly
and
not
inte¬
grated into
the
standard
list.
