Network sharing with other network devices

Dante audio networks use LAN cables (Cat 5e or higher) to transfer real-time audio
signals with low latency. It is recommended that you do not connect network devices,
other than Dante network devices and related devices, to the network to which
MAS-A100 and Dante devices are connected.
If other devices use the network, the network bandwidth may be exceeded, which
may cause audio interruptions and noise.

Connecting multiple systems to the same network

When using MAS-A100 units and speech reinforcement/audio capture devices
independently in multiple rooms, design the network so that the multicast traffic is
completely contained within each room. If a Dante audio device is connected to a
non-Dante compatible network switch or a network switch that is not configured to
support Dante, devices in other rooms may be connected or disconnected and other
Dante audio network reorganization or conflicts may occur, causing audio
interruptions and other issues.
Place a broadband router in each room to separate the network segments or disable
multicast communication on the core switch.
Multicast communication is also used for the device search function of the network
interface for setup. Allow multicast communication only when searching for devices in
the control room, and then block multicast after device registration has been
completed.
