Recoil Starter

The recoil starter is used to start the engine.
Grasp the recoil starter handle and pull slowly until
resistance is felt. Give the starter handle and rope a
short, brisk pull to start the engine.

NOTICE
• Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the
generator from falling over when pulling the
recoil starter.
• Pull the recoil starter handle straight out. Pulling
at an angle could damage the recoil starter rope
or other generator parts.
• Do not allow the starter handle and rope to snap
back after starting; return it gently to its original
place. Letting go of the handle while the starter
rope is extended will allow the recoil starter to
rewind rapidly, which can cause damage to the
generator.
• Do not touch the recoil starter handle while the
generator is operating.
