Starting situation
Failure
The S7-400H is in redundant system state and an
IO device fails.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to replace an IO device:

What to do?
Switch off the power supply for the IO de-
vice.
Remove the bus connector.
Replace the IO device.
Plug the bus connector back in and turn the
power supply back on.
How does the system react?
Both CPUs signal the event in the diagnostics
buffer and via a corresponding OB.
How does the system react?
OB 86 and OB85 are called, the LED REDF
lights up, the corresponding LED BUSxF
flashes.
