  • Page 3 Controller CPU Installation Procedure Follow the procedure in Table 1 to install a Controller CPU module in a controller rack. Table 1 – Controller CPU Installation Step Action Orient the controller rack to have the open side of the enclosure facing forward with the power supply module located on the left and I/O module slots on the right (See Remove the Controller CPU module from its shipping container.
  • Page 4 Remove the Scanner 1 module from the shipping container. Set scanner address for the I/O rack using the switches on SW3. A small slotted screwdriver or paperclip works well; avoid using pencils since the residue can damage the switch. Honeywell Switches 5, 6, 7, 8 must be OFF. S W3 Only 1 switch position may be ON.

See Process Control Designer User’s Guide or ControlEdge HC900 Control Station User’s Guide. Remove power from the rack. (recommended) Remove the screws that secure the module assembly to the rack.
  • Page 6 Scanner 2 Overview • One Scanner2 Module is installed in each I/O Rack of a redundant system. • I/O ports A – connects to CPU-A and I/O Port B connects to CPU-B of the redundant C75 Controller CPUs. • Maintains communications with both Lead and Reserve C75 CPU’s to facilitate failover.
