    The PH stainless steel range of peripheral pumps are designed to pump clean fresh water. Other clean, non aggressive, non explosive liquids with similar characteristics to water may be pumped. Consult Stuart Turner for such applications. The pumps can be used for pressure boosting, fluid transfer and distribution. They are suitable for flooded suction applications.

    F. Variable performance 1.22 PH 45 TS S pumps are designed to allow the performance of the pump to be modified by turning the mounting plate through approximately 30º. To change the performance of the pump, use the following procedure:- 1) The pump is supplied set in the maximum performance position (Fig.
  • Page 5 Ensuring the ‘O’-ring seal is not trapped between the faces, re-tighten the four M6 retaining screws. This must be done evenly to ensure the correct function of the pump. Tighten to 2.6 Nm, do not over tighten. Repeat priming procedure detailed in Section 4 before restarting the pump. Check pump and pipework for leaks whilst pump is running and stationary before leaving the installation unattended.

    2 LOCATION - GENERAL 2.11 Access: For emergencies and maintenance the pump must be easily accessible. 2.12 Protection: The pump must be located in a dry position, frost free and protected from freezing. 2.13 Ventilation: Ensure an adequate air flow to cool the pump. Separate the pump from other appliances that generate heat.

    3 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION / EARTHING 3.11 Regulations: The electrical installation must be carried out in accordance with the current local regulations by a qualified person. 3.12 Safety: In the interests of electrical safety a 30 mA residual current device (R.C.D. not supplied) should be installed in the supply circuit. This may be part of a consumer unit or a separate unit.
