The resistors of these braking units consist of a heavy-duty metal alloy.
The resistor element is embedded within an aluminum housing, laying in
an insulating ceramics material of high thermal conductivity. Complete
metal cladding ensures protection from damaging ambient conditions and
unintentional touching of live parts. They have the following properties:
• compact design and low weight
• high power and impulse loading
• robust construction and high reliability
• high dielectric strength
• the resistor element is non-flammable
