1.4 The classic SINAUT ST7 modems
Due to their design, the modems can be installed on an S7-300 standard rail just like the TIM
modules. As an alternative, the modems can also be installed on a 35 mm standard
mounting rail. In this case, an adapter is required that can be ordered separately.
The following figure shows the modem modules with further details (schematic
representation with the covers removed).

Description

multipoint connection, can be tapped, can also be used as

Modem for the analog telephone network, with RS-232/RS-
485 interface, max. 33600 bps.

12/TAE6), length 6 m, for connecting MD3 with a telephone
socket (TAE6 or RJ-12) or LTOP (in standard operation). *
Modem for the digital ISDN network, with RS-232/RS-485
interface, max. 64000 bps.
Including plug-in cable 6NH7700-4AR60 (RJ-12-RJ-45),
length 6 m, for connecting MD2 (RJ-12) with an ISDN-S
socket (RJ-45). *
