3.2.10 Printer Mechanism Unit Disassembly
This section describes how to disassemble and reassemble the units and parts in the M-4160 printer
mechanism.
3.2.10.1
Carriage (CR) Motor Assembly Removal
1.
Remove the printer mechanism unit. (Refer to 3.2.6.)
2.
Release the timing belt by removing the extension spring.
3.
Disengage the timing belt from the pulley on the CR motor assembly.
4.
Turn the CR motor assembly counter clock wise in the order indicated with arrows to disengage the
joint with the base frame assembly. Then remove the CR motor assembly by moving it toward the
bottom edge of the motor frame.

Disconnect the CR motor assembly connector cable from the connector on the CR motor assembly.
