They each come with an accessory kit that includes the brackets for mounting the switch in a standard 19-inch telco rack or an equipment cabinet, or on a wall, and with rubber feet that can be attached so the switch can be securely located on a horizontal surface.

Ensure that the screws are at the same level in each upright.

(Switch 1600M only) For the Switch 1600M, any of the HP ProCurve Switch Modules can be “hot swapped”, that is installed or replaced while the switch is powered on. The procedures differ slightly, though between adding a new module to the empty slot or replacing the module with the same type, and exchanging the module with a different type.
